Especially dedicated to mommies and pre-school teachers dealing with sponge kids who just seem to absorb everything - ideal learning experience! It is a three storey museum building filled with surprises and adventures not just for the keikis (kids) but also for young adults to seniors. It is a place for everyone’s imagination to come to reality. I will briefly talk about the RAINBOW WORLD where I flew from country to country and didn’t have to worry about jetlag.

When my friend Lizzie came to see me, I just knew she’d love checking out the Dole Plantation. It’s just north of Wahiawa, and a really fun outing for anyone who likes food, nature, and plants. I’d already been to the Dole Plantation several times, but since it was Lizzie’s first trip to Hawaii, we decided to go.

Since then, I am constantly aware of potential gecko situations!

The next really cool, out of the way place I’d like to tell folks about is one of our favorite beaches on the planet. It’s known to the locals as Eternity Beach. Some of my friends will probably want to kick me for telling the world about it, so let’s hope it remains a secret!

Mary and I live in Hawaii Kai, which is on the southeast tip of Oahu. If you’re heading to the popular tourist destinations of Oahu’s windward side from Waikiki or downtown Honolulu, like Hanauma Bay or Sea Life Park, you will pass through Hawaii Kai. This area has some beautiful, out-of-the-way places that are off the beaten tourist path. China Wall is one of our favorites.

From the moment I moved to Oahu, I have been interested in checking out the Byodo-in Temple. I imagined a place of refuge, somewhere where I could unwind and maybe even meditate.
